When processing abrasive materials, the knife cover plates on the heavy-duty paddle-style rotor of the Plastic Crushing Granulator Machine protect the blades.Rather than screwing into the rotor, the knife mounting bolts are inserted into the mounting plates. The typical material for all blades is chrome nickel tool steel, however for highly abrasive processing applications, DGH granulators can be equipped with a specifically made wear-resistant rotor made of hardox facing and wear-resistant steel components.
The v-cut cutting geometry has a number of advantages over other rotor designs, including as lower noise levels, improved cut quality, and increased throughput with less power usage.
